Garrett Holt to Deliver Real Results

Thank you for visiting my website. I'm running for City Council District 6. Above all else, the reason I am running is to give back to the city I love and see Knoxville be the best that it can possibly be. Knoxville is truly an amazing place to call home, but we are currently facing problems like high poverty, rising crime, slowed economic growth, and an unbalanced budget. We need to change course and find solutions to these dire problems. Divisiveness is not going to solve these issues. It will take community actions and responsible decision-making. As a leader, I want to listen to the public's concerns, find common ground that unites us, and work to improve our community's quality of life.

I was born and raised in Knoxville and multiple generations of my family have lived here. I graduated as Valedictorian of West High School in 2012 and went on to graduate Summa Cum Laude from the University of Tennessee in 2016 with my degree in accounting.  I started my career working in public accounting and currently work as a national sales manager for a leading medical technology company.

Service to my community has always been incredibly important to me. Throughout high school and college, I served as a leader of numerous clubs and organizations, such as Key Club, the State Farm Youth Advisory Board, student government, and many others. Locally, I have spent time volunteering for KARM, The Salvation Army, the Ronald McDonald House, MEDIC, and East TN Children’s Hospital.

Making Knoxville better takes a little bit of work from all of us, and I hope to play my part in that process by serving you on City Council. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me at 865-310-2900 or HoltForDistrict6@gmail.com. I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Garrett Holt
